Quite a loud jews harp with a large dynamic range and decent sensitivity, but from below it is limited by an abundance of prisms: when struck outwards, a pronounced low-frequency rumble appears and every touch of the tongue generates a high-frequency rustle. With increasing volume, the last sound ceases to be noticeable, and you can forget about humming, striking only inwards. Same background still breaks through and with inwards strokes. Also, the mechanics of the tongue hinders the bidirectional finger movement. Not bad instrument, but very limited in style of use.
